The fully automatic seam welding machine for steel drums is actually a specialized seam welding machine equipped with a drum body rounding machine for full automatic welding. Its welding principle is the same as the semi-automatic seam welding machine mentioned above. Figure 8-10 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a fully automatic seam welding machine for steel drums. After cutting and processing the edges of the steel plate, it is automatically fed into the front of the welding machine. After being rolled and preliminarily positioned, it is pushed along the Z-shaped guide rail by a thruster into the space between the positioning roller and the upper and lower welding rollers. When tens of thousands of amperes of current pass through, the high interface resistance at the overlap of the barrel causes local temperature rise due to its thermal effect. As the temperature increases, the resistance inside the steel plate rapidly increases, and the interaction between the two causes the metal in the welding area to soften into a plastic state.
